Programs available to study include subjects such as Administrative Information Technology, Biological Science, Broadcast Media Technology, Early Childhood Education, Information Systems Technology, Mental Health Worker, Practical Nursing, Radiologic Technology, and Web Technologies. Having a strong academic support system is important, which is why RCC offers academic advising. Transfer services are also offered for students who wish to continue their education past their first two years at Roxbury and want assistance in doing so. The financial aid office has dedicated counselors, who can point students toward loans, grants, work-study programs, and scholarships. There is a special aid program for those who are working toward earning a second associate degree. Job hunting can be a daunting task. Luckily, RCC students donï¿½t have to do it alone thanks to the services of the career development center, which has job postings, career assessment, internships, and career fairs.
The Roxbury Community College Alumni Association contributes to the continued growth of the College by sharing the educational, professional and personal experiences of alumni with the College community. The RCC Alumni Association provides opportunities for alumni to connect with their alma mater, one another, and RCC students through sponsored programs, networking opportunities and events. Membership in the RCC Alumni Association is open to all degree graduates, certificate graduates and friends of the College. Recognized as the Collegeï¿½s best ambassadors and as an integral part of the College community, members of the Alumni Association actively participate in and support key programs that enhance the Collegeï¿½s mission. Through the Alumni Association, interested alumni may stay actively involved with the College in a variety of ways, serving as alumni mentors for students, working on event committees or serving on the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
